Tire Question : poll.
So I've got some Hankook RS Z212's on the back of my protege that have been there for about 20K. I've gotta say that the insides are at least 1/2 worn if not on their way to 2/3rds. The tires that came on the front of the car are definately gone and need replacement.
I'm trying to decide if I buy 4 new tires of a nominal performance level (aka Kumho 712 level, but not those tires) for like 60-80 each installed. OR if i swap my rear 212's so that the outsides (barely worn at all) are now the insides and i wear them "back to even" and put some new RS Z212's on the front (200 installed).
I'm just not sure if it is safe to "invert" tires like that if I haven't kept to a normal tire rotation schedule (wanted to kill the shitty stock front tires first).
Let me know if you think it is safe or not.
