The project has a LOT of potential as an SM car. There's a lot of people who say a Mustang can't do it. I don't know. Most of the naysayers aren't considering anything other than V8 power. That won't cut it for this project because of weight and balance. 2500 lbs and 350+ hp is a 'lot', but that's roughly what the CP guys run (and they're a bit lighter as well). The key is putting enough tire under the car... who thinks 315's/335's will fit on a FOX? I'm thinking I can have the car simi-competative for the 6k Talking about for the Porsche (plus porsche's are SM2 -- ouch! turbo miata's).

My house should be done in a couple of months, so that's when I'll get started.
