I think mikespeed is afraid of a highschooler, lol. And don't even bother calling me out, I'll lose.....at least until I get better . lol. BTW, update on the car.

I don't think I remembered to post this, but my car stalled out on the way to school yesterday morning. Well, I didn't think it was a big deal until I went to start it back up. Nothing. At all.

Call AAA, have a cop out there, and finally get it towed. (FYI, I wasn't trying to drift again, or racing, it just stalled out.) Get out of class, call my mechanic, and hey, guess what? The alternator belt snapped and the started seized, as well as a hose on the radiator slipping off and spraying my engine with antifreeze and rust (yeah, more on that in a minute).

Today, get to the shop, talk to my mechanic, and guess what? $315 bucks. New belt, unseized starter (he just had to rotate the engine to unseize it), a quick engine flush and tighten the hose, and a new temperature sensor (needed it anyway, so what the hell?)

Turns out the inside of my radiator has minor rust from sitting so long. When I bought the car, it had been sitting for a few months, and before that guy bought the car (it WAS going to be HIS project), it had been sitting for awhile. So now I've got a moderately clean radiator also.

The guy I bought it from originally wanted $1600, but I talked him to $950 (yeah, smooth). So far I've spent $691.84 on repairs, $100.80 on title transfer, registration, and tag transfer, and $950 on the car. What's it add up to?

$1641.84

Not bad, eh?
