Well, you can get lead-acid batteries with two year free replacement warranties and seven years pro-rated at auto parts stores, but I sort of think that the warranty is meaningless in Florida; that is, I'll almost always lose a lead-acid battery in two years or less and have it replaced for free (makes anything past two years moot).

But, clearly the Optima red top is a better starting battery than most any lead-acid battery. It's also too expensive for my taste.
