i just tried using toothpaste, and i really rubbed it on, but it didnt work, headlights look the same as before. they do however have a pleasant mint smell. should i have used the gritty toothpaste? i know some toothpaste has more texture than others, and the toothpaste i used was pretty smooth.

i guess ill try that aluminum polish. anybody ever try brake or trans fluid?

one thing i was wondering, these headlights are the aftermarket ones with the projectors. are these known for fogging up and can they be cleaned up nicely? also, is it possible to undo the clamps and take just the plastic see-through part off?

i want to try everything i can before having to take the headlights out. they are ziptyed down on the bottomside and id have to take the whole bumper off. unless they could be easily buffed while still on the car?
