They are what truckers use to chat when on the road.

If you are making a long distance trip on the road, they are pretty much priceless... You just listen, and learn about all of the cops, road conditions (traffic jams and short cuts around them), pretty much whatever. Of course, you gotta be on a highway pretty much, but when I drove from MI to FL quite a few times, it definately was a nice thing to have.
