I had some old late 70s Trans Ams and don't recall any of them leaking or not leaking much. But as you will remind me, my memory can't be good at my age. I do however, remember the topless drives to Clearwater Beach back in the day when I was younger and more beautiful. Sweet times.
Then you got lucky. I've seen so many more that leak. Saying they all leak is a hyperbole...But a whole lot do. Mine did...My brother's did...most peopel I've talked to have had theirs leak. A lot of the times they don't leak when they're brand new, though. So back in the 70s if you got them new then they could've very well sealed fine for a good few years.
And no, I swear to god that wasn't another crack at your age
