I never had to wait. Now that you have me thinking,................. I also remove the dist cap and pack a plastic bag inside it, as well as wrap the outside. I also blow water off the wires with my air tank. Failing to fully cover the distrib may cause condensation inside it and then it has to have water cleaned out inside it.-Bob
