gt is cool as far as customizability (is that a word?) of your setups, but for the most part any one adjustment made to a car is just a group of nothing... lower the car put sticky tires on it and 900HP and your a "real racer"????
plah.
I wont get into console vs pc here but to call GT "real racing" is a fucking joke.
I don't know much about your pc games. However, it is as close as you can get for console games.
real racing as in not difting. yeah you can go fast drifting, i'm not saying you can't, but if it was the fastest way, wouldn't we be doing a long time ago?
I agree that gt should have different/better ways to mod the cars, but that would require there being less cars. I think it would be great to see a gt that is specific to a certain make or group of cars. that way you could focus more on the different mods.
I don't understand why you feel gt is so far off. The same physics that are used in that game are used in various driving school simulators for F1 to the scca touring class, to circle track. The vast majority of games that are close to real use that same physics model. I have no doubt that other people have made different models, but the end result is relatively the same.
I'm also only talking about the physics, not everything else, like damage and what not. there are plenty of other games that do alot better job at all of that
