SC300. The aftermarket is huge for the 2JZ and the upgrade paths are proven. You won't have to deal with crappy conversion kit this-and-that for a motor swap. It's a quiet car. You can get stock leather. Put slicks on it for the track. Change to 18/19's for VIP style. Lots of clean unmolested ones around since they're luxury cars. Or if you want something late model, use the IS300. Stock 2JZ in there and everything above still applies.
trust me I know this.I practicly have a 2jz wt a manual tranny sitting at my finger tip.The car will be here at tax return...but I just wanted to know what else is out there.And as far as a ls1, my good friend has 1 collecting dust in his garage,i'm sure he wouldn't mind me having it at a rasonable priece.
