Help & Parts For Ls Turbo
ok heres the deal im am turboing my ls in the next week and i have some questions and need some things. First off i had a hydro-lock three months ago and rebuilt it but failed to changed the rings on all our and just chnaged on the one that was bent. It runs fine daily but i am slightly burning oil so i figure its either in the rings or the stem seals but i had the head checked at the machine shop and they said it was fine so i figure its the rings and since im turboing and have to upgrade the headgasket i figure i should either change the rings or upgrade the pistons. So here is my dilema, i dont hve the extra cash for low compression pistons so i wonder if gsr or type-r pistons would be good for a turbo application on an Ls and ould they drop right in or what? Any suggestons or things you guys have would be appreciated.
