Keep in mind that Paxton is probably one of the only manufacturers who makes a kit for a carburated application, guys. Most likely it is a blow through unit (ie the supercharger puts boost through the carburator). The only other option you would have is a roots style where it draws through the carburator. The major downsides of this option is the necessity of putting a big pro-stock style hoodscoop on the car and the massive amounts of horsepower the blower will take to run. Of course, it also looks the most impressive...everyone loves a nice polished GMC 6-71 blower sticking through the hood of a vintage muscle machine.
My nod goes to the Paxton for overall ease of install and lack of outer body mods. There are some nice pics of them on vintage Fords out there (use www.yahoo.com to search) and they even came stock on some T-Birds and Shelby Cobras. Good luck.
