1st, there can't be any leaks on whatever vaccum lines run to the wastegate.

If "a bunch of vacuum lines to the turbo had holes in them" means the wastedgate lines have holes in them, fix that for sure. If at all possible run a line right from the compressor housing to the wastegate uninterrupted.

Sounds like you just overboosted and your PCV system didn't like it.
