I'm sure the kid deserved it. Nobody chooses law enforcement as a career because they want to be assholes, they do it to enforce the law.
Even if it's a minor offense, that kid turned it into a bigger problem than it needed to be and resisting a cop is retarded. They don't have time to sit there and wrestle with a kid until he's out of breath, and they're sure as hell not gonna abandon the situation and let the kid go because he cried enough. They gave him directions and warnings which he ignored. Deserved.
