you can make the ls/vtec a daily driver. The ls/vtec is just as reliable like any other Honda engine. It is how ever alot more money. I would just get a ls motor and turbo it. Lots of power there to be made. ls/t.
Its not more money going ls/vtec can be cheaper depending on the swap, a b18c1 will run you over 3k easy. You can find a ls block, and pistons,rods bla bla pretty much everything including the vtec head for under 3k with tranny if you shop around. Plus you will make more power also
