$700? You're buying parts from the wrong person. Find a non-BMW shop or get proper contacts in the BMW parts departments.

Water pump for a 525i lists at $90.12, thermostat at $36.55, OEM belts are in the $30 range.

I dunno if you did your own labor, but all these items are relatively easy to replace, and would have saved you the $102/hr labor charge.
