and you don't need to get a more powerfull alt. i've had 2 solo 12's and 1 solo-x in my civic with just a second battery and my lights don't even dim. if you have the money tho, and want the xtra power, i would definatly buy one.
And how many watts were you running (true rms)? 1000 rms and over is
really pushing it. I've seen cars turn off because their weenie alternator couldn't keep up. Your car is drawing the brunt of the power from the alternator when it is running. I know most Hondas have miniscule alternators and even smaller batteries (it's like a tractor battery).
