English and grammar, its something that will help people understand you and not make fun of you. And not all of Ford tech is white tough guy, and most of them probably make more money than you do.

Personally about the car, if its clean and it runs as good as you think I'd offer him maybe $3000 if the rest of the car is clean. A picture of said car. If you do end up picking it up I'd take care of the preventative maintanence, such as oil change, flush the radiator and get a new OEM cap, flush the transmission, and replace with the correct fluid/filter, change the intake filter, etc.
