Anyone ever have a problem with fox mustang stereo setup sounding like shit??

I have a brand new Pioneer head unit and 6 Polk audio speakers in it and I'm really not happy with the way it sounds.

Some one told me to wire all my speakers with my own wire not to use the factory wiring or should i just get an amp to run all my speakers???
