the myth of 550's on an s-afc has been debunked now, btw. i ran 600s on it and lance @ JGS has tuned 600s and 650s on it. it wont work on every setup, since some setups wont require that much fuel and even at -50% fuel you wont be able to get it to work. but s-afc's dont help timing control, and actually will throw it way off.
playing with base fuel pressure won't help. if u bump it up to help with boost fueling, it will still be jacked up across the board even off boost and you'll run pig rich everywhere. bye bye gas mileage and hello sooty melted rear bumper

i only recommend fuel pressure regulators on cars with higher HP that may need that in the tuning, but most ROM tunes and such these days are so spot on they can work with the base fuel pressure (and a properly sized injector will negate a need for fuel pressure changes).
im either going to be looking for another long block, or maybe just get a fresh head or get mine rebuilt soon since my valve seals are getting worse, but still only on startup. i only wish i had the money for a full build.
if i were you, do the built motor first. then u can break it in n/a while u piece the turbo kit together.
do it right or do it twice.
