Cars w/ the 3.8's with the dual outlet exhaust sound better. I don't think any of the F-Body V6's came with dual exhaust, if so it was probably 98+, does yours have it Scott?
Either way really nice car... especially for a first car. Low low mileage as well, my Grand Prix GT has 133k on it and still runs great. As I'm sure you've found out the V6's are very torquey. One more thing, I think those wheels are actually "polished aluminum"

Same way on my GP
3.8L had a performance package, similar to the Mustang 'Python" marketing ploy shit. It had true duals. Other than that I don't think any of the V6s had true duals. I know my 3.4L sounded okay with a single flowmaster muffler on it, but my buddy had a 3.8L and I honestly never heard an aftermarket exhaust on it I liked. The stock one sounded clean, not loud but ballsy, a decent sound to it.
+1 on the keep it stock. It'll take a lot of work to really make that thing fast, and in the process you'll decrease the reliability of an otherwise decent motor. I've got one in my Buick, and I think its great, never let me down so far. 205hp/225tq is enough to do whatever daily driving calls for.
