Has anyone thought of setting up a Gymkhana event? This would be a viable solution to many problems associated with a large drift event.

1. Gets more less experienced people to come out to the event and drive. Which IMHO is really what TR is looking for.
2. Insurance for an event like this would be considerably cheaper.
3. Space needed to host a Gymkhana event can be much smaller.

Plus an event like this will let those of us who have had lots of seat time
help those who have not. Get those pro or sponsored drivers to help the noobs by riding along with them and teaching them. You could possibly even charge for a service like this. At the end of the day the cones could be reset and the experienced drivers could have a little show off time to really let the noobs see in person what this sports all about. Get them excited to come out for the next event.
