Sounds like you had another issue going on, I've run all types of cars including my FC's FD's, Supras, SR20's, EJ's, and plenty more with high pressure and high flow systems built for over 800 horse with absolutely no problems. Plenty of miles on most of my setups. If you use good quality products, Injectors....ETC, then you should have a problem.
In any case, I believe it's more expensive to replace a burnt down car than any part of the fuel system. We all know they have problems and always will have problems.
