Heres what I did: I got rid of the hard line set-up (containing all the vacuum lines and what not) that goes from the rail to the side of the engine. I ran a piece of rubber fuel line from the filter to the primary rail, and my car has been fine for over a year. I figure that the forgiveness of the rubber line will act as somewhat of a pulsation dampener. I personally don't think that the dampener is needed. I'm now getting rid of that set-up and running bigger braided lines parallel to the rails, along with a bigger hardline from the tank up. Also, an easy way to know if you need a new dampner is look to see if the screw has fallen out, if the screw is out it usually means the leaking fuel has caused the thread sealer to dissolve and let the screw get loose and fall out.
