I know we hear stories about dumb robbers quite often (ie: The guy who robbed the store and later applied for a job there which led to his arrest).

....But this one is a little unique

As most of you probably know I used to work at Motorsports. I still visit quite frequently and yesterday when I dropped by, I found out that the weekend receptionist had been fired for numerous reasons...one reason being that she took a bad check. (There are processing procedures before accepting checks, etc).

Long story short:
This guy buys a bike and uses a $10,000 fraudulent check to pay for it. Well the idiot also purchased LO-Jack for the bike. So as soon as the accounting department knew the guy ripped us off for 10 grand, they tracked the bike using his newly added feature! Needless to say, they found the bike at the mall. I'm not sure if they actually caught the guy or not but they definitely got the bike back. Just wanted to share this story about dumbasses who steal.
