At best, he's closer to 450whp, maybe 475, which isn't enough to pull that Z06. And gearing plays a big factor too.
and it was likely twin turbo, so there's no 'peaky' powerband involved. Take a look at some twin turbo decent horsepower 350z dyno charts, torque comes on early and has a nice flat plateau. I'm thinking that was an APS twin turbo setup, which has dual ball bearing units for excellent off-throttle response.
