There are failures with the Mahle stuff too because not many machine shops know how to hone the cylinders properly. I recommend to sleeve all h blocks, trying to save $900 for sleeving can cause you to lose a set of pistons and all the labor for another rebuild plus the cost of new sleeves on top of that.
