I do believe that the nitrating of 2g cranks will reduce the occurance of crankwalk to the rarity of the 6bolt crankwalking.
I am just old school. I like the good old 2.0ltr 6bolt.
I have never had a 2g so never need to deside what to do when the factory motor failed. I like simplicity so I would probably build a 2.0 7 bolt, have the crank nitrated and make sure the clutch start switch is disconnected.
Hopefully I will get my pistons before Christmas so I can start enjoing my car again.
