The D series is kind of a strange line...the N series plays DVD's, as does the Z1. When I first saw the D1 at CES a couple years ago, Pioneer's answer was that it was designed to be a fleet/taxi type piece, and that's why DVD viewing wasn't included. I doubt that will ever change, especially with the Z series being out.


You can run the pioneer IP bus TV tuner to the D1,2, or 3...and its one of the best tuners out there. For DVD's, I use a 6 disc DVD/CD changer.
