Dave, the car isnt hard to get into gear EXCEPT for reverse... and the clutch can come out without engaging the gear right off the bat. It takes a little while.

Boosted and harold, its too dark for me to check it now... i will let you know tommorow when it light out and i can check.

Im also pretty sure its not a tranny issue... I just had the tranny replaced with an upgraded T5 (forget the name for it but its like grand somethin somethin) The car has been doing ever since i got it. I also had a different problem and im not sure if its related:

Whenever at an idle... it sometimes begins to rev and then slow down over and over. I was told this is because the hole in the butterfly valve on the carburator to let in air at an idle was clogged with carbon. I tried working on it today and sprayed the valve with some carb cleaner and it seemed to fix it. HOWEVER, the problem with the clutch is still there.

Now, its not that big of a deal... i just have to flutter the gas everytime i shift out of neutral... but i dont like having issues with my vehicles when i dont understand the problem.
