i wasnt bashing you either mr burns. everyone thinks magazines fucked up when they said the s2k can run a 13.8 well talk to '2qk4u' i believe he ran taht time in his stock s2k and there was a billion page thread on how he was BS'ing but he really did. and i have seen more than 3 or 4 run below the 14.00 mark completely stock. its not an easy car to launch or drive in a 1/4 mile i can say that.

just logically, if you went fro ma stop but the s2k got out in front of you due to traffic, your sohc-t should run low 14s to high 13s so you should be barely pulling on him but i dunno how well up top past 100mph you would do. i understand you probably are almost done with a 1/4 mile around 100mph, but you stated you had a 80mph 2nd gear...so if a s2k can run it up to 160 or so, you should be able to somewhat keep up, cuz i have no idea what your car tops out at. i said good story im just trying to show a reasonable explanation.
