depending on the car it wont take more than like an hour or 2. just remove all your belts, then hopefully u have something to get the crank pulley off because thats the hardest part. once thats off remove the plastic cover(if its still on) loosen the timing belt tensioner and pull the timing belt off the timing gear. once thats off pull off the timing gear and then the oil pump which is held on by like 5 or 6 ten's. pop the old seal out and put the new seal in. make sure the spring doesnt pop out of the seal or youll have the same problem again. then reassemble, thats it. have fun.
