You don't have to remove anything but the plastic covers on the underside of the car to remove the oilpan no matter if alum or steel.
bolts are 10mmwith an inner hex of 5mm best tool for the bolts on the end by the trans is a long 5mm hex with a ball tip and 1/4" extenstion and slowness. these are very easy to strip and if you do, NOW you have to remove the trans. good luck!!
