Infinity is notorious for extremely sharp high notes (along with the clearest highs you'll hear) which is why dalton and a few others hate my front speakers.

Some of the speakers have an adjustable knob (not sure if components do) or you'll just have to go through your headunit or amp (lower the amp's highpass down a hair) to lower the higher frequencies down.

For ex. -- I have an alpine amp that lets me choose what set of high frequencies to focus on, then how amplified i want to make the whole higher range, still focusing mainly on the chosen one. I choose mainly around 10k since it keeps most of the extremely painful highs out more but keeps the tings around. I'd go lower but then it'd focus on a LOT more sounds and it would sound painfully goofy.

(Only downside i see about it is that i ALWAYS have to focus on one, but it still sounds great)

anyways we're sure you can figure something out.

I like the carpet idea but then you cant see the pretty tweeters =P
