No, Dude, these guys are partially right. You are currently painfully slow. Let me illustrate, when you cross the finish line in the 1/8, I would have crossed the finish line in the 1/4 more than a second ago.

Howsomever, you car will respond exponentially better to mods than the 240. You will note that most of the imports use Mustangs and Camaros to judge how they are doing. If they can turbo their car and go out and beat a stock Mustang, they are "fast". But you will not see many, if any kill, stories about a turboed Civic or 240 beating a similarly turboed Mustang or Camaro. Not to say that it doesn't happen, it does on rare occasion. I mean look at the Bucs, they're 10-3.

As for the bang for the buck, my '64 Falcon that I had ran 12.4x in the 1/4 for me for two years and I paid $1000 for it. The guy I sold it to cleaned out the distributer and put a rebuild kit into the carb and ran 11.8x with it...just a carbed 302 with a stock C-4 3 speed automatic. Oops, sorry, it had a shift kit.
You make a good point. One thing I disagree with is the remark about judging your import car's performance off of Mustang's and Camaros. If I can beat (and I have, on the street) a modded (exhaust) '00 Camaro SS, I think that makes me pretty fast. And for about $20k cheaper. And with 4 less cylinders and exactly 3.7 liters LESS displacement. Another irrelavent point is "similarly turboed"...you want to put a T25 on a Mustang or Camaro? Be my guest. I am still running the stock T-2-Small on my SR20. Im interested (not trying to be a smart ass) in what it took to get your car to an 11 flat. I know you still have the stock bottom end...but what else?
