Funny, but it seems that I addressed my reasoning earlier. But for the record a select few posts have disappeared due to personal content.

But to paraphrase I wanted to see if this could be worked out as adults and it has for the most part. The whole locking a thread thing in this case seems to leave unfinished business hanging in the air. Better to get it out now instead of letting it fester.
