my boy use to have a awd 1g and use to beat alot if not most of the v8 that he races being awd, then his t-case fucked up so he was fwd and he could'nt beat a MAZDA PROTEGE... with that same setup 16g at 17psi stock engine .......
As I stated before, it's not really
necessary, unless serious power is being put down, which is true. A fwd setup is capable of holding down an okay amount of power.
I agree that an awd setup is far more superior and will garner better results with almost any setup, but it may not be worth the cost if he doesn't plan on modding it very much.
I'd like to run a much larger compressor in the future (waiting for my 7 bolt to eventually walk). Besides the couple small mods I have done to my car, my first big mod, was going to an AWD setup. Then I would have a great platform to work with from there. I'd like to run a 30R or 35R eventually and the AWD would definently make driving the car that much more enjoyable and quicker.
Add a nice Cyclone mani with the Jerry T-25 actuator mod (as well as the whole list of other necessary parts to run a 30-35r series) and you have one sick ass machine.
