By the way....
Looking at your sig... Sony has been crap in car audio for atleast 5-10 years. Chances are, if you put a Sony in there it will sound worse than whatever you have from the factory. Modern Sony's are almost as bad as Pyramids.
Sadly, I've heard bad things about Eclipse too. And what really irritates me is I heard bad things about the past 2 years of Alpine as well(from an Alpine dealer). I went into a shop that Alpine was pretty much the best stuff they had last year looking for a new headunit because something went wrong with my unit from 2003(wiring problem in my old car). The sales guy told me from a quality standpoint I was alot better off getting my old unit fixed than I was buying a new one. Hell, Kenwood Excelon used to be some really nice stuff. I bought a new Excelon headunit in Feb for the F150 and have been disappointed. If the bass is going and I hit a bump the thing skips to high heaven. That was the kind of thing you expected out of a disc player in 1990. But it seems like all the companies are dying to compete with all the entry level junk out there. As the aftermarket stuff in a reasonable price range gets lousier, and as the factory systems get better, the justification for aftermarket gets harder the newer the vehicle..
