That is flawed thinking. What about a car that runs 2 large turbo's? www.extremeturboshop.com

Turbo's flow air, PERIOD. If you have one large turbo that flows 750cfm, and two smaller turbo's that flow 500cfm each, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which one is faster.

You're going to go to the junkyard and get a turbo that you have no idea how long the life will be and expect it to be reliable?!
There are tell tale signs as to the condition of the turbo before its pulled, and a turbo will not just quit if its on the car, it will start to make noise and when it does, you buy a new center section for $125 off Ebay. Twins from a JY are $50 a piece. The cheapest I've seen a Powerstroke turbo (previously established as the "best" for a single turbo 4.0) for used is $450, again, not hard math.

And I'd like to see a 600 HP daily driven car hold up on the stock internals on pump gas.
Well you never mentioned pump gas in your post. So figure 500 hp on stock internals on pump gas.

Anyone can come up with some Track Car that is fast for 9 seconds at a time...but I'm talking for Daily use, in stop and go traffic, and being able to run for extended periods. That car may be good for a little less than 10 seconds, but try to drive it for about 30 min and I bet something will melt.
You could tell that much from the video? I guess you ARE smarter than I thought Many of those similar setups are driven daily with A/C and power steering with no issues.

You have to compare apples to apples. We're talking about options for a street car that has to be reliable, not some track-only car.
There was a a junkyard twin turbo setup driving around Tampa a few years ago. MAC shorty headers flipped around 2 JY T3's, 2 first gen DSM intercoolers, running factory boost for the turbo's (7psi). I rode in that car and it was spinning drag radials at the top of 4th gear going down Florida Ave. That was his ONLY car, not his "daily driver" but HIS ONLY CAR!

Its not rocket science. If you are interested in this stuff, go to www.yahoogroups.com and join the Junkyard Turbo list. Some of the guys include:

-Low 10 second twin turbo 5.0 with T5
-unkown ET single turbo from a dumptruck that will rip all teeth off of 5th gear in a T5 at will (this guy doesn't run a wastegate, he drilled holes in the pre-turbo exhaust until he met his desired boost)
-9.8 second 3600 lb TurboCoupe with a single turbo 351 (stock bottom end) oh yeah, its on drag radials
-57 Ford station wagon featured in Hot Rod last year with a twin T3 460 big block ford. It had issues on the dyno, but put down 736 ft lbs of torque AT THE WHEELS (stock motor with turbo's)
-mid 11 second 69 camaro on drag radials and road race suspension with twin T3's

BTW, most of those guys above are blowing thru Holley carb's and one guy runs the stock mechanical fuel pump that he boost references (10 second twin turbo mustang with PVC intake plumbing)
