I think the over heating was more due to the brake fluid then the rotor, but after spending $150 on a rotor and $12 on a jug of brake fluid, I like to say it's the rotor that made the difference. LOL It makes me feel better. But your right, they are suppose to be lighter for better turn it, but because it's the rear wheel you dont notice the weight savings as much. The design of the wave rotor is also "suppose" to disapate heat better.

Just regular riding and working the rear brake cause the over heating. More so at Pointcienna then anywhere else.
