The kids can easily ride the electric bike through tall grass, dirt, over small branches and stuff. I'm actually pretty impressed with this thng. It won't clear any triples or crazy stuff like that. I can ride it on hard packed dirt, but it is clearly straining more than on pavement. (I'm almost at least 50 lbs heavier than the advertised weight limit.)

The battery is good for about as long as my kids could stand to ride even sharing. About 45 minutes or so. At this age there are lots of breaks to suck on ice from the cooler and check out bugs and stuff. We're fortunate to have a good sized lot close to our neighborhood so it's not a wasted trip at all.

If I had to pick something to complain about, its that the brake on this model is rear only, its operated by the rider's left hand, and the pull is harder than either of my kids can really handle. Riding in the dirt, they slow down quick enough without it by simply getting off the throttle. Hard to fault Razor for this though because the bike clearly indicates that it's designed for kids 12 and up, which would certainly have the hand size and strength to grab that brake. I do feel that considering how expensive the little 50's are and not wanting to drop that kinda cash only to find out that they hate it, the Razor is a great starter bike for my kids.
