I wasn't speaking for other people, I was speaking for myself. If I wear a helmet and gear, I feel damn near invincible on my bike. All that gear kinda takes away the humanity; the very real feeling of the sport. I like to know that if I go down, that's my bare arm and face that's gonna hit that pavement. Makes me think twice about slapping it down a gear and twisting that throttle open.
