Wearing a helmet to me is like putting on my seatbelt when I jump in a car. It's kinda a sense of safety you get. My friends dad has had many a crashes from people pulling out in front of him and his helmet always came out scraped to hell. One time he put a huge dent striaght in the side of a car door from his helmet slamming into it.
