My Non fire-retardent 'driving' shoe of choice is the OLD Adidas Tuscany, about 2 years old..the newer ones like the one Leslie posted (I have them, too) has far too much sole and feels too 'chunky' for driving. Much more of a driving-LOOK shoe.

For Nomex shoes, Piloti is a staple. Pretty much the best 'performance driving' shoes on the market hands down. A pair can be had from about $80 to the mid-$100's. www.Piloti.com

For a proper 'race' shoe, Sparco makes one or two different styles that are just under $200 I believe www.sparcousa.com . Or for a racer on a budget www.k1racegear.com offers a Nomex racing shoe for around $80.
