Yes rpm is just the other factor. You can directly measure rpm..and you can directly measure TQ. Hp is just a result of those DIRECTLY measured items. You cant directly measure HP because it is a result of two or more factors.
So for the others that said more hp is better in one area and more tq is better in another area.. That wont work. If you have more tq in a specific area...you will aslo get more HP in that same area since HP is just the result of tq x rpm/5252.
