Your grasping for comparisons here... Driving on a sidewalk is completely different. Sure, you may argue that its illegal and therefore the same as splitting lanes...
However, in some states lane splitting is legal.. In 0 states is it legal to drive on a sidewalk. Your comparison isn't valid in any possible way. The same with the incoming lane deal...
Let me ask you this... Have you EVER squeezed by someone in front of you in order to make a right turn? And I mean squeeze as in easily had 2 feet of clear space on each side of your car? Your telling me you have NEVER done that?
