I work on Mazda's all day long. Ford used the 2.5 KL motor in that. It's a GOOD motor. Just gotta clean out the intake every once in a while with some throttle body cleaner to help keep the EGR ports from clogging up on you. That's the ONLY problem we have with those motors. If you wanna get fancy they have turbo kits and what not for those or you can get the same motor in a japanese version with about 30more horsepower for giggles.
