your tranny will hold it, well the 257 that is. i don't know about your turbo thoughts though. 05 trannies have the same width as ra's, same strength. the gearing is changed, for the ra gears. the synchro's have been the only thing to change since late 03 iirc. the swap isn't hard at all. if i'm here i'd be glad to lend a hand, if i'm here for when you plan on doing it.
