Eclipse had a double din video piece, that would show two video sources at the same time. The cool part was that it didn't use split screen, or p in p. Instead, it used some sort of polarizer...from the drivers angle, one source was visible full screen, while the passenger angle allowed you to see a different source, again, full screen.

Now that's cool.

Any of you Eclipse guys heard anything about this?

I've heard of the technology, its been around for a little while now but usually reserved for higher end laptops (for business executives that want a little more privacy when on the go) usually they keep the other polarity black or showing some sort of random image at any angle other than 89-91 degrees or so of viewing. Utilizing this tech for the purpose eclipse is using sounds pretty sweet, the idea was thrown around to use it kinda like a dual-tv where one person on one side of the room can watch one thing and another person on the other side can watch another (not that far away but you get the idea) all on the same tv...

I forgot how the tech is supposed to work but i think they said it had something to do with the way they make holograms either the expensive ones or the cheap ones...

oh well, i'll brush up on it later, nothing i said is fact, so dont call me an idiot/liar if you read up on it and find my paragraph false
