I am finishing the 302/ c4 in my maverick. I have a B&M pro rachet shifter which pushes the cable forward, toward park. the basic problem is the lever on the trans is facing up and in that config, full forward is 1st. my race stang has some different deal that allows the lever to face downward which makes everything kosher.

the lever does not come off w/ out internally taking it off from inside ,and am not sure it can flip inside. what is a brother to do? i searched for instruction w/ out sucess. somebody has definitely done this right?
